Welcome to Okaloosa Ride Safe
Okaloosa Ride Safe is a licensed affiliate of the Motorcycle Safety Foundation, a national organization dedicated to safe riding. Since 1973, the Foundation has established internationally recognized standards of excellence in rider education and training, licensing improvements, governmental regulations and public information.
As of July 1, 2008, per s. 322.12(5)(a), F.S., every first-time applicant (regardless of age) for licensure to operate a motorcycle must provide proof of completion of a motorcycle safety course before the applicant may be licensed to operate a motorcycle. Riding a motorcycle without the endorsement is a criminal violation.
Our school is also a licensed affiliate of the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles. This relationship allows Okaloosa Ride Safe to administer the mandatory basic motorcycle rider’s course for licensure on behalf of the state.
Classes are offered for novice and experienced riders. Okaloosa Ride Safe provides the bikes and helmets, although the Experienced Rider Course is conducted on your own bike.
